Services We Offer


1. Emergency Food Distribution:

From April 2005 to March 2006 - we served 2,100 individual and families!!  Individuals and families are eligible to receive 2-3 day supply of emergency food, perishable and non-perishable items. Individuals and families must meet certain monthly income requirements or verify credible emergency need.

 


 

2. SMALL HOME REPAIRS AND ODD JOBS COMPLETION:

Economically disadvantaged and elderly adults are eligible for
small home repairs and odd jobs completion up to 200 dollars in
materials costs. Jobs completed as funds are available.

 
 

3. WHEELCHAIR RAMP CONSTRUCTION:

Economically disadvantaged and adults populations are eligible for
wheelchair ramp construction as funds are available. Demonstration of
need must be verified through a site visit.
 

 

 

4. COMPUTER LITERACY INSTRUCTION:

Economically disadvantaged and adult populations are eligible for computer
literacy instruction in basic computer skills.  A need must be verified to
demonstrate a lack of knowledge in basic computer skills. Potential students

must take a pretest and score below 60%.

5. VISITATION SERVICES:

   A. Visitation:
        a. assessment of services needs.
        b. companionship
        c. friendly conversation
        d. prayer and Bible study
        e. security checks
   B. Assessment of spiritual, social, psychological, and vocational health.
   C. Through case management/life planning services
   D. Personal advisement
   E. Crisis intervention
   F. Community social services referrals to other relevant agency services.
 


6. MENTORSHIP SERVICES:

   

   A. Visitation: assessment of services needs.
    B. Vocational advisement
    C. Tutorial instruction in basic skills:
         a.  reading
         b.  writing
         c.  math
         d.  basic computer skills
    D. Life survival skills/social skills development
    E. Apprenticeship opportunities with skills local employers
    F. Contract and support services with local social services agencies.
